Ryan Hennion, CPA
CPA/Owner
Ryan’s professional career began when he graduated from Rutgers University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Ryan went on to work for BOC Gases, which later became Linde Gas, a worldwide supplier of industrial gases. Ryan spent eight years gaining valuable experience in Linde’s major onsite plant division, known as Tonnage, where he would assist with the negotiation, drafting and execution of Tonnage contracts. He would go on to develop skills in the areas of accounting, legal and sales. All of which would later prove invaluable in his career transitions.
In 2012, Ryan graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a master’s degree in accounting. That same year, driven by a desire for a new career direction, Ryan made the bold decision to leave the energy sector and join the accounting industry. Over the next few years, Ryan dedicated himself to learning the intricacies of the industry working for his father’s firm, Harry D. Hennion, Public Accountant. In 2016 he obtained his CPA license in the state of New Jersey. In 2017, Ryan officially formed his own business known as Hennion, CPAs. His diverse experience and commitment to the accounting profession have earned him the role of trusted leader of the firm. Under Ryan’s experienced leadership, Hennion CPAs is dedicated to growth and upholding its standard of personalized, expert financial services for clients. Under Ryan’s leadership, the firm has grown exponentially and expanded its services, providing clients with trusted, high-quality accounting solutions. In 2022 Ryan opened a second office in Morristown, NJ, in addition to the original office location in Lafayette, NJ.
Ryan is a family-first businessman. Ryan attributes success to fostering strong, supportive relationships in both personal and professional spheres. Ryan’s leadership, grounded in family values, balances business growth, employee well-being, and community commitment, ensuring business objectives are met with integrity and respect for all stakeholders.
Ryan is a steadfast husband and father. He has been married to his wife, Lauren, since 2007. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys coaching his son’s ice hockey team and his daughter’s softball team. In addition, Ryan serves on the Advisory Board of Provident Bank and the Board of Directors for the Center for Prevention and Counseling.
Leanna Marcine, CPA
Partner
Leanna is a dedicated CPA with a robust foundation in accounting and tax planning. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2014. During her internships at Murphy & Company in Newton, NJ, and Nisivoccia LLP in Mount Arlington, NJ she gained invaluable practical knowledge in the accounting field.
Following her internships, Leanna demonstrated career growth going from a Staff Accountant to a Senior Accountant at Cullari Carrico LLC where she worked for 7 years. During this time, she expanded her knowledge and broadened her skills. Leanna passed the CPA exam in 2019, and later in November 2020 she began working at Hennion CPA, where she guides business owners toward greater financial stability and growth.
Leanna’s passion lies in empowering business owners through efficient financial management and personalized tax and accounting services. Her expertise lies in proactive tax planning, accurate projections and the meticulous preparation of small business tax returns. With a wealth of experience and commitment, she guides clients to navigate the complexities inherent to all businesses. Leanna is a trusted partner for all accounting and tax-related matters.
Leanna is a dedicated wife and mother. She has been married to her husband Dan since 2020, and they have 2 beautiful children together. Leanna enjoys spending time outside with her husband and girls and watching them learn and grow. When she is not busy raising her children, she does enjoy getting out on the golf course.
Pete Petito, CPA
Pete has been a valued member of Hennion CPAs since 2021. Pete earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Western Governors University in Utah in 2021 while working full time and raising his family. In 2025, Pete earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Having successfully completed all rigorous educational and experience requirements, he brings a fresh, credentialed perspective to the firm’s financial strategy and client services.
Prior to joining Hennion CPAs, Pete spent nearly two decades working at Lowe’s Home Improvement, gaining vital experience and industry-specific knowledge. This hands-on experience is particularly beneficial for the firm’s clients working in construction, landscaping, plumbing and electrical fields as Pete understands their unique needs and challenges.
A dedicated community member, Pete often lends his hand to local community needs. When Pete isn’t volunteering, he is likely staying active outdoors or channeling his creativity into drawing. Pete is also a parent, advocate and steady ally for raising Kabuki Syndrome Awareness.
Stacey Ernst
Staff Accountant/Office Manager
Stacey is a valued addition to the Hennion CPAs team. Stacey earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Centenary University in 2009. Following graduation, Stacey transitioned to a full-time position with Nisivoccia LLP in Mount Arlington, NJ, after building a foundation of three years of valuable internship experience. Stacey’s tenure career trajectory saw her rise from Staff Accountant to Semi-Senior accountant, solidifying her practical knowledge within the accounting field. Stacey shifted her career to the corporate environment in 2014, accepting a position with Med-Metrix LLC, a revenue cycle management firm located in Parsippany New Jersey. Stacey’s diverse experience at Med-Metrix evolved from Staff Accountant to Supervising Accountant, encompassing a wide range of accounting functions such as payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury management.
Stacey is a indispensable member of the team at Hennion CPAs. Stacey possesses a unique blend of adaptability, exceptional organizational capabilities, and keen attention to detail, enabling her to excel in various demanding situations. Stacey’s integral contributions ensure the smooth functioning of our team and the consistent support of our clients.
Stacey’s commitment extends beyond the office; in her spare time, she enthusiastically helps with special events at a friend’s farm and creates cherished memories with her nephew and two nieces.
Kari Oceja
Staff Accountant
Kari brings a wealth of experience and an unmatched energy to her role at Hennion CPAs. Kari’s unique personality keeps the office lively and welcoming. Kari attended Dover Business School and went on to build a strong foundation in accounting during her five years at Mikropul Environmental Systems in Morris Plains.
Afterward, Kari honed her bookkeeping expertise in her role with Intelligence Services, where she handled a full spectrum of responsibilities such as accounts payable and accounts receivable to billing and payroll.
Her meticulous approach to bookkeeping has made Kari an invaluable asset to the Hennion CPAs team. Kari ensures the integrity and accuracy of every financial record and that they are thoroughly maintained, which offers clients the highest level of service and reliability.
Kari maintains a vibrant work-life balance, dividing her time between her professional role, caring for her animals, and raising her four sons.
Harry D. Hennion
Public Accountant, Semi-Retired
Harry’s career journey began with service in the United States Navy enlisting at the age of seventeen and serving from 1962 to 1966. Harry followed his service up with three years as a Certified Welder & Pipefitter, before he transitioned into the accounting field.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Harry dedicated 10 years to Lieberman, Abraham & Company, a CPA firm, rising from junior accountant to partner. Harry’s prior experience also includes two years as Administrative Assistant to the Treasurer at Associated Testing Laboratories, a division of Walter Kiddie Company where he accumulated valuable experience.
Harry began his accounting practice in 1980 known as Harry D. Hennion, Public Accountant. Harry boasts a remarkable career in the accounting industry spanning over five decades. Harry has cultivated a strong foundation of trust and expertise, which continues to define the firm’s approach today.
A respected leader in the accounting profession, Harry’s standing is a testament to his decades of experience across both accounting and various industries. Harry’s values of integrity and dedication serve as the guiding principles for the team at Hennion CPAs, preserving his lasting legacy.
Harry is the father of 7 children and grandfather to 19 grandchildren and has been married to his first wife, Marion, for over 50 years. Harry has years of chartable service working with the Shriners, President of the school board in Franklin New Jersey, chamber of commerce, Branchville Businessmen’s Club as well as his local church. Today, Harry enjoys the mostly retired life.
Astro Matthew Hennion
Head of Security/Client Greeter
Astro is a Portuguese Water Dog. Portuguese Water Dogs are an intelligent, athletic and energetic dog breed originally from Portugal. They were bred by the Portuguese fishermen to assist with herding fish and retrieving fishing gear. They are strong swimmers with webbed feet, a waterproof coat and do not shed. So, if you are allergic to dogs, do not worry. Astro is hypoallergenic.
Astro is extremely friendly to everyone and likes to assist Ryan with his client meetings. His main duty is to notify the staff when clients or visitors arrive and greet them at the door. While Astro is not a trained therapy dog, Portuguese Water Dogs are often trained and used as therapy dogs in hospitals, nursing homes and schools because of their gentle temperament. So, if doing your taxes gives you anxiety, come and meet with Ryan and Astro while you talk about your particular situation.

Thomas G. Kafafian, CPA
Tom is the managing partner of Frizzell, Kafafian, De Vries & Co., LLC in Sparta, NJ. Tom leads a legacy firm built on judgment, integrity, and long-term client relationships. He succeeded his father, Leon S. Kafafian, CPA, a full-service Certified Public Accountant and trusted expert known for his depth of knowledge and sound judgment on complex tax positions, and someone professionals and clients alike relied on when the answer truly mattered.
Before entering public accounting, Tom worked as a professional musician, touring internationally with Lady Gaga. Tom worked with Lady Gaga during the early stages of her career, where Tom contributed to songwriting and demo recordings that helped shape her formative years. In 2009, Tom was on tour with Lady Gaga as her bass player. That experience helped shape Tom’s disciplined work ethic, creative approach to problem-solving, and ability to clearly communicate complex ideas.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2019 from William Patterson University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant earning this distinction in 2022.
Tom specializes in individual and business taxation, real estate, partnerships, corporations, and trusts and estates. He is known for stepping into complex or disorganized situations and providing clear, practical guidance grounded in sound accounting and tax judgment.
Outside of the office, Tom is a devoted family man. Tom is happily married to his wife, Monica, and together they have 3 children. Tom continues to pursue music in his spare time and volunteers to play for his local church. Tom is also involved in the Boy Scouts of America and is an Eagle Scout.
